The “Reading Your Bible with Confidence” course is designed for church leaders to be equipped to present the “Reading Your Bible with Confidence Discovery Guide” to parents in their congregation. This tool is intended to help sharpen parents’ skills of observation, interpretation and application as they study God’s Word. The goal is to help parents become more confident in their Bible reading, so they will share what the Holy Spirit is teaching them with their children, and, in turn, be better equipped to be disciple-makers at home.
It’s suggested that leaders take time to watch all five video lessons in order to have a comprehensive overview of the “Reading Your Bible with Confidence Discovery Guide.” Watching all the videos in one sitting would take approximately 30 minutes. Accompanying video transcripts, PowerPoint slides and other helpful resources are available as downloads for each lesson.
Church leaders may adapt the content to fit their ministry context. Families will be more engaged in this training if it is presented by their church leader. However, if circumstances do not permit organizing and presenting the training, feel free to grant parents total access to this resource.
